Board of Trustees

CPE Maison Montessori de Chelsea is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of parents with children at the CPE or associated family daycare centers. The parent representatives are elected to two-year terms at a meeting at the beginning of each school year.  A President, Vice-President and a Treasurer are then elected from among the board members.  The Board meets monthly and determines the policies of the school.  Board members also chair various committees (sports & recreation, facilities, communications) and report back to the Board.

The Director serves on the Board and is responsible for implementing its policies, hiring staff, and supervising the program of instruction.
