Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is an important part of the culture of the Montessori. Such involvement helps the school financially and in other ways, and it provides important opportunities for parents to experience the school environment, to share the joy of learning with their child, and to develop a dialogue with their child's teacher, with the rest of the staff, and with other families in the CPE community. For all of these reasons, we offer parents a variety of ways to become involved.

• Parents are encouraged to share special talents and skills in the classroom, especially during career week in the summer; 
• Parents serve as chaperones for field trips.  Various programs such as Alpine skiing could not happen without the assistance of parents;
• Parents make up the members of our Board of Trustees; and
• Parents help to maintain the CPE building and grounds. (Parents willing to participate in spring and fall Saturday Workdays on the playground are particularly appreciated).
