CPE-Chelsea X-Country Ski Program

The CPE-Chelsea has developed a very successful cross-country ski program.  You may have noticed the ski holders at the entrance to the school - every child is encouraged to participate in this winter activity as it is a pre-requisite for alpine skiing at age 4.

Weather permitting, students will spend on their cross-country skis at wednesday morning for Group #1 and #2 or thursday afternoon for Group #3.  A safe and secure trail system is set up in the Montessori backyard.  

Students develop their sense of balance on skis, coordination and the confidence in their abilities necessary for the transition to alpine skiing.

Pre-requisites for participation

• be equipped with suitable winter clothing; and

• skis/bindings and boots must be provided.

Costs

40$ for the session january 16th to february 28th 2008.
